WELL!!! The tasking board and magnets all arrived today. The picture above shows magnets from 2 different sellers all mixed together. The slightly bigger ones were what came with the KC Davis collaboration with Mighty & Bright. The smaller ones, I got on Etsy to add self-care tasks and other things to my daily stuff. The Etsy seller included stickers that say “You Matter,” which I plan to share with my coworkers. Maybe I will use my VERY bountiful notecards from forever ago, to write them each a nice little something and stick the sticker on the envelope or card.
I’m super excited! I love that I can use the magnets not only to prioritize household tasking (and give myself the satisfaction of moving cute magnets into the “done” column); I can also add things like “Dance Party” and finding time to write, read, and draw.
How I feel in my living space when I have really awesome music going:

The Room Reset reusable clings from the KC Davis Mighty & Bright also broke down pick-up of discarded clothing by color, which really appealed to the artist in me. Rather than facing down every piece of clothing at once, you look for the ones that match the colors on your magnet and do those. Even if you DO end up picking up all the clothes in the same day, I think sifting through them a little at a time might make it seem less daunting. Will let you know how that goes!
Also received a surprise gift from my uncle this morning, which was super exciting, and there were homemade cookies in several varieties and some snack mix waiting for me, from my cousin in California and his family.
ALSO… I got a fresh message from someone I’m talking to online. Fun stuff!
Plenty to be thankful for today, even beyond ALL of that. We’re expecting a BAD winter storm, kicking off with frostbite weather at daybreak tomorrow morning. I’m grateful I have somewhere warm to be and lots of cold weather gear for when I need to venture out.
Also grateful I was able to pick up some groceries yesterday and restock a bit. May need to come straight home from work tomorrow and skip the usual visit to see my parents, if the weather is really bad, so it’s important that I have some dinner stuffs. I cooked up a whole pack of burger patties tonight, in preparation.
I think I’m gonna make up some hot apple cider. Snuggle up with a pet, a loved one, a teddy bear, or a good book, as you can. Wishing you the coziest of evenings.
