WELL!!! I started the day with mediocre sleep, but I made breakfast and did my online therapy and wrote a fresh entry for this here blog. Felt like a good start.
I’m not saying I didn’t freak out along the way about not knowing where the garbage bags were hiding– I totally did, then snuck off to the spare room to escape, only to discover the garbage bags in there; however, I got up on a stepladder and cleared out the cabinet over the stove of all the expired baking supplies and randomness in there.
Still have to haul it all out. May yet do that tonight, even in the rain, just to get it done. Or start it, at least. We shall see.
From there, I borrowed my mom’s car after she picked me up. Mine was in an uncertain status… just repaired, but it still sounded very funny to me.
Drove to the craft store and picked up a planner binder that better matches the pages I picked up for 2023. Now everything is slick and dark and moody and gorgeous.

Also got pages for the binder I had purchased earlier that was too small for my needs, so I can pass it along to someone else. I have someone in mind and hope they enjoy it. The smaller binder, I ripped into the packaging, noticed the size difference, then lost the packaging. They don’t take anything opened, as a return. SO… I will gift it or donate it, one way or the other. It’s a cute lil binder. Slim and classy black.
Looped back to my parents’ house to check the weather and regroup a bit since the dash in my mom’s car was warning me about icy roads. They were fine, only rain in the forecast, when I checked.
Then, I drove to the home health care clinic for fresh supplies for my CPAP machine. Found out I should have replaced pretty much all of it already, so I did. Or at least I am eligible to replace parts once every 3 months. Starting over fresh tonight. Even got some distilled water so I can use the humidifier feature I had turned off since I ran OUT of distilled water then never remembered to get any.
From there, I returned the borrowed car. Mine was back from its various adventures with my dad, but my mom suggested we finish my errands before I drove home. SO… we went to exchange the tops I got for Christmas that didn’t fit and stopped at a nearby local chocolate shop. I got a Valentine’s Day nightgown as an exchange (see picture above) and some candy.

On the way back, she got us Panera. Gotta say, their Chicken Tikka Masala soup is really really good!
Finished eating just about as my dad came back from round 2 of wherever he went today. Packed up my car with the day’s various spoils and headed home.
NOT ONLY did I get all that accomplished; I also heard from my high school era best friend, who was SUPER excited about the Tarot card reading I had done for her and eager to discuss the meanings in more detail over video chat. So YAY!!!
Just freshened ye olde litter box and fed the kittehs. Trying to psych myself up for the great trash haul out. It is dark and rainy, but maybe with the aid of some Chai.
ALSO ALSO ALSO… if you have not yet read anything about or watched Brendan Fraser’s acceptance speech from the Critic’s Choice awards… all I did was read an excerpt, and I started sobbing. I felt so seen, and so heard, and so accepted.
Alright, I am off to heat up some Chai, and see what more I can achieve. Then, I plan to kick back. Haven’t decided with what just yet. Journaling, book I’m reading, some streaming, music… we will see. The night is young.
Here’s one last pic, for your enjoyment. I remembered I had said I would post my other cat. I present Happy, posing with my Displacer Beast. It looked so much like him, I had to have one. He mostly displaces cat food, however. Peace!!!
