I got a book in the mail today, from a romance book club/ romance merch company I like. It was a Blind Date with a Book package. Stickers, a bookmark, an autographed face plate signed by the indie romance’s author, etc.

Very exciting stuff! You were able to select your romance trope and view trigger warnings for each selection, but you didn’t know the author or title. I picked a reverse harem fairy tale retelling. Ooooh the book looks so good!!!

Above, you’ll see some of the inside pages, where I stuck the signed face plate.

I also updated the cover art for Love and the Phantom Queen of Suburbia, and I’ve been a bit busy with it, both posting old content and creating fresh content.

Per some recommendations from a knowledgeable Wattpad user in their collection of tips, I started uploading a chapter a day. A couple days, I even did two.

I’m planning to set it up on Amazon this week, with some chapters that won’t be available on Wattpad, while still adding content to Wattpad that will only be available there.

In other news, I had a wonderful Mother’s Day. We sort of celebrated over two days, because I worked Sunday. My daughter snooped through my Amazon To Be Read wish list and sent me Anne Lamott’s Bird by Bird. I was so happy with her clever sleuthing and impeccable timing that I cried.

I’ve been contemplating what I might work on next after this project has wrapped. There’s a m/m paranormal romance in progress that I started. For some reason, when I peeked at the meager 10 pages I had written so far, it was giving me more short story vibes than novel/novella. We shall see, I suppose.

If you’re interested in checking out Love and the Phantom Queen of Suburbia, it’s free to read on Wattpad. I’d appreciate any feedback you might have to offer while I put the finishing touches on it.

I’m so excited to have fresh things to read (to add to my growing pile LOL), including something instructional. Any writers out there: what are your go-to books on writing? Was planning on picking up Stephen King’s On Writing next.

Have an amazing day!

I’d like to close with a meme I made, using a quote from Love and the Phantom Queen of Suburbia. May it bring you joy.

I signed it with my Instagram/Twitter/Wattpad handle.
