Ever since I bought a Baby Mothman Squishables plush keychain, I’ve been staging Baby Mothman “sightings.” When we went to visit my daughter and her boyfriend in Oklahoma, I took him with and photographed him everywhere.
Baby Mothman is apparently also a fan of Star Wars, because I discovered him at Cheesesteak Rebellion! He was marveling over Han Solo frozen in Carbonite, and enjoying a Cantina Steakhouse Sandwich and Rosemary Fries with Wasabi Ranch.

While I was at Cheesesteak Rebellion on Revenge of the Fifth/Cinco de Mayo, I also received a Cheesesteak Rebellion temporary tattoo!
I decided to include it with my mom’s tattoo flash art-style pop-up Mother’s Day card, as her “free tattoo” that she’d once been promised by a former neighbor of theirs. She was a great sport about the whole thing and let me photograph her wearing her new tattoo! And she loved the card and her other gifts.

My dad meanwhile got us a gift card to use for St. Brendan’s, as a joint Mother’s Day gift for us both. Baby Mothman accompanied us on that journey, as well, but I feel like I’ve got enough food here for one post LOL.
I’m hoping to go back to Cheesesteak Rebellion when my daughter visits. She’s not as much of a Star Wars fan as Baby Mothman and me, but I think she’d still enjoy it. And the food is outstanding!
Then we could try the pinball machines, maybe.
In other thrilling news, I have secured kiddo’s plane tickets for her visit here. YAAAAAAAY! I’m so excited to see her. And because of weirdness with flights and trying to bring the cost down, she’s staying an extra day, anyway. Arriving on a Wednesday afternoon, and returning very (very) early the following Sunday morning.
Back in 2020, I won runner-up for a Halloween writing contest with a poem I had written about Mothman, a cryptid urban legend out of West Virginia. Here it is:

Long live the Rebellion! And long live Mothman!
