I’m still a bit under the weather, but I’ve decided to use my last 2 days at home before going back to work (standard days off), to fix up my living space. So far, I have:

  • tidied up the kitchen
  • collected the few used plates and mugs/cups into the sink.
  • organized kitchen clutter into a proper place or thrown it away
  • gathered up any recyclables from the kitchen/living room & put them in the container to be taken out.
  • swapped out the garbage bag in the kitchen garbage container so the big garbage is ready for taking out.
  • freshened up the spare litter box and surrounded it with fresh, clean pads to protect the carpet around it

That’s just the cleaning part of my day thus far. I also went through my everyday morning routine of waking up, taking my thyroid med, setting a 30 minute timer, eating, taking the rest of my morning meds and supplements, AND then I washed my face and put my hair up and threw on some sweats.

Not sure if I will be heading out at any point today? I may, since my CPAP supplies are ready for pickup. But I do also have an online therapy session in about a half an hour from now.

Is it counterproductive to take a break to caffeinate and blog? You could look at it that way, but jotting down my thoughts and making an accountability post also helps wake me up and keep me on task a bit.

Now that kiddo has come and gone, I think I’ll be relocating the cat to the spare bedroom for her litter box needs. It will be nice to have all of that out of the main living area. I had considered it before, but now feels like the time.

There’s a lot to be done beyond what’s on my To-Do list, like emptying out cabinets and such. And if I get around to vacuuming, that would be a great bonus. But I will start with the list I have and see what I can do from there. Also, I always have tomorrow to work with, as well. Not that that’s further reason to procrastinate. It’s more just motivation to know I can try to go above and beyond. Anyway. Have a great day.

GRATITUDE LIST FOR TODAY:
