I saw a post on Instagram about the Not Alone Challenge and wanted to participate, especially since I’ve been away from here awhile, dealing with a lingering head cold, and life stuff, and the resurgence of an old back injury.
The selfie I framed into the graphic is one I took while waiting news of my daughter’s flights home.
I hope you have someone in your life who looks forward to your arrival with every bit as much love as that. Maybe you’re reading this thinking to yourself, I don’t have that kind of unconditional love in my life. Well, if you ARE reading this, know that I care, and I am wishing the very best happiness for you, and healing, and joy.
If you think you are alone, or that your presence isn’t felt, I kindly and humbly remind you, and myself, that none of us are ever alone in our struggles, even when that doesn’t feel true.

The text I included in the graphic is a quote from the sleeve of a hoodie I bought from Self Care is for Everyone, a great company with products that help support mental health, if you have the funds to treat yourself to a poster, or clothing, or even just some stickers.
Here’s a link to the hoodie, though there are also t-shirt and sweatshirt versions available.
I don’t get anything from them for sharing it. Just wanted to give due credit and provide the options of both free resources, and some fun goodies, if you’re able to safely splurge and treat yourself a little.
Plus, every time I read those words, I get misty-eyed. It feels like the lifting of an invisible burden, even simply seeing the words in print.
I’m doing okay. There have been recent challenges, for sure, but I have exciting changes coming up in the days to follow.
Be safe.
Be well.
It’s okay if you’re not okay.
Somewhere out there, there is someone who will listen, who can help.
Thank you for being here.
