Heinz had a wonderful ad of a bottle of ketchup side by side with a bottle of mustard, captioned “Red and yellow. You can’t unsee it,” or something to that effect. I saw it pictured online next to a billboard for Deadpool & Wolverine. Very clever marketing. So we’re borrowing that. Closest thing I could think of to share my enthusiasm for the movie without infringing on copyright. Not sure if borrowing the text copy from an advertisement counts as the same thing? Hm….
The closest thing I could find in Canva included two hot dogs next to each other, which seems almost raunchy in this context LOL… but oh, well.
Deadpool & Wolverine was SO SO very good.
I’ll admit there were a few moments where I thought, okay, okay, can’t they just learn to work together already and get ON with the story? But the action sequences were still a lot of fun. And I can see where Deadpool would drive Wolverine crazy. Makes sense. They are diametrically very, very different personalities.
The day I saw it, I eventually came home and started an X-Men movie marathon, watching them all in Wolverine’s point of view timeline order.
I have now once again made it through all of the X-Men movies.

There I am, snuggled under a nice blanket I received from a good friend, made by her mother from leftover yarns. Unity is on the ottoman in front of the couch. You’ll note the “MERRY” X-mas decoration I never take down, on the right side of the entertainment center, gifted to me by another friend. Assorted board games down below, and my movie collection in the middle.
Half of my old shot glass collection to the left, on the wall, and one of my paintings, and my Buddha head, below that.
Didn’t watch Logan again since last week, because that is a HEAVY movie, but it was still pretty fresh in my mind.
Then last night, the cat and I watched Deadpool. Maybe tonight we’ll do Deadpool 2. So yes, I have officially taken a break from any spiritual practice apart from daily meditations, in order to binge superhero movies. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Been a busy week, but I am mostly acclimated to the new job. Still a few things I could use brushing up on, but we’ll practice that as we go.
Anyway just thought I would pop in and say hello, since it’s been a bit. That suggested post about imagining yourself in an alternate universe sounds like a lot of fun, too, however, so I may do that later on today. We’ll see.
GRATITUDE LIST FOR TODAY:
- Lighthearted diversions in the form of superhero movies
- Having today off, for a chance to recharge
- Starting physical therapy up again (hopefully it sticks)
