I haven’t had anything Pumpkin Spice yet, exactly, though I did have a DELICIOUS Grande Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, with Chai spice on top. I think it had the cream on top that they use for the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.
Anyway, checking in once again. I have a smidge of time before I have to finish getting ready for work. Still in a tee and shorts.
I suppose one could always do MORE care tasks around the home, but I did a pretty bangin’ job of cleaning up the apartment. The bulk of it, I did yesterday. And I cracked open the blinds in the kitchen a bit, and moved my plants, so they’ll get ACTUAL light, not just electric light. I bet they’ll like that.
I can’t help but see everything else that could still be improved upon, but maybe I will get to the pickier stuff in time, now that the really pressing cleaning is caught up. Clutter on the PC desk, and the table in my room, and on the vanity, etc.
The other bonus is, I would say it’s clean enough that I would feel reasonably confident having friends over. Most of my friends are long-distance, but I have a few I could invite to pop in. The one who’d be most likely to drop by, is a stickler for cleaning. But like I said, I think it’s okay.
There’s an empty box I had meant to cart out to the recycling dumpster, but the cat just discovered it, much to her delight. So I think we can hang on to it until she tires of it as a toy/hiding place.
OH… I just looked back over my last post, and it apparently hadn’t yet been announced, BUT… I GOT IN to the October art show!!! Yay!!!
Still have to get that piece wired to hang.
Also working on organizing a collection of things for the library, since I’ll have things on display there this winter. Will have to see what I have, that feels all-ages friendly.
Starlings, which I mentioned in my last post (novel), wasn’t as mind-blowing as Starling House, but it was still fun to read. Got through that and a poetry collection, and a translation of a Japanese bestseller, recently.
Presently slightly ahead of my reading goal for 2024, but we’ll see how aggressively I focus on that in the coming days/weeks. I’m feeling a bit stretched thin. Need to reassess what interests I would most like to devote my free time to.
I guess that’s about it? OH… I went to Door County yesterday, for shop-browsing and a fish boil dinner. Here are some pics from that adventure!

So exciting to see the first signs of fall! Some leaves tumbled down onto our table where we sat outside while waiting to see the boil-over, as the fish and potatoes were cooking.

Had to snap a photo of these lil cuties! all the Halloween goodness!

Halloween gnome! I think the sign behind it said something like Hocus Pocus and wine bringing focus? I’m past my days of enjoying wine, but I do love Hocus Pocus!

Selfie I took after sneaking away on my own for a moment alone with a view of the bay. I also took some video of the water rippling toward the shore.
Anyway, have an awesome day!!! And you have my official permission to enjoy all the goodness of autumn, at your leisure, if you please. It still feels like summer here, but I’m hoping to bust out the cute fall thermal I bought, any day now. Peace!
