Last night, I came across the Rotten Tomatoes repost and sadly had to sit through an entire video all about how I could make thousands of dollars selling Kindle products on Amazon. Amusing.
HOWEVER, this morning, I went looking for the video again, thinking maybe you all might be curious to see what I was talking about, if there are any vampire fans among you (or “fangbangers,” as they called them on True Blood)… and I unearthed the original post, direct from AMC.

So there he is. The Vampire Lestat, in his rockstar era.
I liked Lestat in Queen of the Damned, as well, but I think the AMC series has (for the most part) superior dialogue.
After having recently rewatched Queen of the Damned, some of the lines struck me as a bit off. But nearly everyone in the cast is remarkably gorgeous. The visuals are striking and sensual. Costuming, top-notch. Killer soundtrack.
Speaking of music… if you’re intrigued by the snippet of “Long Face” in this teaser trailer, there’s a full lyric video of that, as well, on YouTube, also shared by AMC. He gets all breathy at the end. I always love that.
I swear I would pay for audio of Trent Reznor or the late Marc Bolan, breathing. Then again, considering the texture of some of their songs, I suppose I already have.
I just managed to partly roll over my own toe with my computer chair, then immediately after, bang my head on the underside of the desk, picking something up from underneath it. Much profanity ensued.
I’m tired and cranky. Atypical trouble falling asleep last night, even after meds. Feeling a bit undead, myself.
I’d actually considered writing even further into the wee hours, since I wasn’t sleeping, but I let that go; however, I did get a fair amount of raw material added to Mystery Train.
This teaser-trailer may have actually been new to me, as of last night. I think the song sounded familiar from the lyric video, which could have been released first? They both say 8 months ago, but they could have been weeks apart? Not sure.
Anyway I may have been remiss in my fangirl duties. For shame!
Much of the rest of the world is preparing for a different kind of resurrection, while I’m still raving about vampires, with my happy lil heathen heart.
I just Googled the premiere date for Season 3.
Not until 2026.
That does give me a long face.
Well, it’s nearly summer. I never anticipate winter and the new year in a positive way, but the year is almost half over.
Still have to order my wig and find clothes for my Halloween costume! I had a ‘fit in mind, but the top might be a bit big at this point. And I would need new jeans, in black, to have gone with it, in any case. My black jeggings from last Halloween are now ginormous on me.
She’s in a skirt here, but I dunno if I wanna commit to a short skirt in midwest October. But here is my inspiration. X-Men: Evolution Rogue, AKA Goth Rogue.
I likely won’t go for an exact outfit match, so much as emulating her vibe. But I will see what I can do about getting the hair and makeup right.
And whatever you do or don’t choose to celebrate, whatever you might believe or disbelieve, I wish you well.
