I’m thinking something playing off lyrics from the famous Mary Poppins song “A Spoonful of Sugar.”
Allow me to explain.
One of my coworkers called my bag my “Mary Poppins purse” because I can fit so dang much inside it. Once, without removing anything that’s usually in it, I was able to pack in I think three items of clothing. I want to say it was one pair of jeggings, a top, and something else.
Bear in mind, I also have a faux-velvet zippered clutch within it, because it’s so big and generally cluttered, that I need something separate to keep my wallet and coin purse in, so they’re easier to find.
Just a couple days ago, another coworker called me Mary Poppins and said something along the lines of “It’s a spoonful of sugar and a whole heap of glitter” because I wear a LOT of sparkly things. When the sparkling graphic tees arrived, even without my having been there, I guess there was discussion about how much I would like them. I limited myself to one, but they are all very cute.
After the “heap of glitter” remark, the other woman working with us asked if I had “the umbrella.”
“I do have an umbrella in my purse, yeah,” I answered.
An adorable one that’s compact but still good, black with white and purple abstract flowers, that my daughter bought me with one of her first paychecks. I feared it had been lost, but it resurfaced amongst the detritus that had accumulated in my old car. Better to keep it in my purse, I think. Especially since it could always start to rain while you’re indoors. Then, I’d have it, at the ready.
It also came in handy at a former job, when someone had to walk to the gas station across the street (I forget why). It was raining. He’d said it was a shame he hadn’t worn his hat to work (he has some very epic hats). I offered my umbrella, sure that he’d turn me down once I said it had flowers on it. But he just smiled so joyfully and said, “I love flowers!”
Back to the other night at my current job…
My other coworker chimed in, “And I’m pretty sure she can fly,” once I’d affirmed the existence of the umbrella.
It was such a delightful and whimsical exchange. The one who first said, “Come on, Mary Poppins” that night, as I was gathering my bag and other belongings, and who commented about the sugar and glitter, will be leaving us shortly to begin another adventure and, eventually, start college. I’m gonna miss her. I hope we stay in touch.
Would I keep the part about the sugar? I don’t use sugar often. In my tea, I opt for honey. And I buy zero sugar soda. I bake with sugar on the RARE occasion I do that (but I did have a run where I was frequently making cookies and such, some time back). OH and the beignets I made from the Cafe du Monde mix used powdered sugar. So I am not sugar-opposed, altogether.
I also love chocolate, and the occasional dessert.
Maybe something like this:
“A spoonful of sugar, a dash of magic, and a whole heap of glitter.”
I would throw something in there about my love for vampires, werewolves, and goth music, but I feel like it would throw off the vibe. I suppose you could encompass all those things with an image that evokes the spooky, like cobwebs, but I don’t think I like that.
What other “ingredient” would sum up something like that nicely? Not red wine or mulled wine, because I don’t drink. And I wouldn’t say “blood.” That’s too spot-on.
What about moonlight or moonbeams?
That’s still pseudo-hippie, but nighttime can also be spooky. And the moon is rather mysterious.
Sounds kinda witchy.
“A spoonful of sugar, a cup of moonbeams, and a heap of glitter.”
Not sure if it needs to be a proper sentence to qualify as a tagline. I feel like traditionally taglines are sentences? Maybe I’m imagining that.
Does it need a “Made from” at the beginning? I think I like it as-is.

No moonbeams there, but it does look like glitter and sugary candy, maybe? Edible sprinkles?
Either way, it’s pretty.
Have a lovely night!
