I may still try to work my way up to actually making food, but I decided to start out with some popcorn and a soda, and take my brand new MASSIVE water bottle for a spin!
Gotta say, I am enjoying the taste of Endless Summer.
Popcorn is pretty good, too.
The water bottle, I got at work, free, as a performance incentive. I had my choice of any number of things from the prize box. There were lots of bags of candy and such to choose from, a couple smaller cosmetic bags or zippered pencil cases, and some water bottles. This one was the prettiest, and, I think, also bigger than the other one. It DEFINITELY holds more than my former Hello Kitty water bottle, with the graphic all worn away.
I ALSO scored a couple free bras.
Spent about an hour trying some on, but I found two that will work. If they were bras I would be selling to a customer, I would have likely suggested going up a band size, but I think I might be between band sizes right now. And I do have extenders, if I need them, for until they start to stretch, or until I lose more weight.
I tried them with or without the straps. They definitely fit both ways, somewhat better than my existing bra does. There isn’t as much extra space at the top of the cups when I remove the straps. But I definitely get noticeably more support with the straps attached. Maybe that’s inevitable. In any case, they work!
I did two strapless, one with a bit more boost than the other. That one’s a beige. The other one is black. I like the strapless bras because you can criss-cross the straps for more security. My shoulders dip just enough that sometimes I struggle with keeping straps up. That varies depending on the style of the bra.
Also, I figured, one a nude color and one black, very versatile, for various clothing choices, one that’s especially low-cut for if I’m wearing anything dippy, and both convertible to fully strapless if needed. I do have two off-the-shoulder t-shirts.
OOOOOH it is just starting to rain!!! So relaxing. The sound of it on the AC unit.
The forecast may have shifted somewhat. We were anticipating heavy rain to have started over an hour ago, but that came and went, with nothing. Just a pitter pattering now. An inch of rain expected tomorrow, which I guess if it was snow would be less significant? That’s what I’ve heard. An inch of rain is much more substantial and travel-impactful, supposedly.
Glad it isn’t snow, though. That can darn well wait! Bring on summer vibes, baybeeeee!
I’ve got some errands I need to run tomorrow that I can’t tackle tonight, so hopefully, I can manage the weather okay. Need to hit the vet’s office when they’re open, for probiotics for kitty, and swing by the pharmacy for me.
Also have therapy in the morning, but that’s fully online, for the time being. Once we get into the actual process of the EMDR reprogramming or whatever they consider it, I’ll have to meet her in her office. We couldn’t figure out a way to do it on a computer via video chat.
Presently snacking on a mix you top salads with, which I’m sure I mentioned before. Had a couple bites of baked beans. But I don’t think “Girl Dinner” will cut it for the whole night. There’s likely some eggs and bacon in my future.
Breakfast was leftover Crab Rangoon from last night’s Chinese drive-thru, so breakfast for dinner won’t feel at all repetitive. And I have some salad mix left, if I want more veggies than just dried soybeans. Also, the Chinese drive thru was DELICIOUS! I discovered some time back that if I order the smaller portion of my entree, that it’s served in one package, over the rice. Their menu board says small entrees are white rice only, but they have always let me choose. And I do like fried rice better. I had Cashew Chicken, and the Rangoon, and Steamed Dumplings.
The dumplings are a little odd, though. They used to give you something altogether different when you ordered them. Each one was larger, and made from a thicker dough. Now, they seem more like wontons. And the meat on the inside is different, too. Not sure what happened there, but they’re still delicious. Maybe I will have to see if they offer steamed wontons and order those, see if they’re the same. Just to solve the mystery. The what, if not the why.
Just wrapping up a fairly longish stretch of back-to-back days at work. Taking tonight and the next two days to reset, unwind, get things done. I finished reading Lost Souls for the fourth time last night. SO SO GOOD!!! And I had watched The Lost Boys again, just before that.
I love that Lost Souls mentions The Lost Boys, and Near Dark, and some other great vampire movies, when Steve and Ghost are attending a Halloween party. It filled me with so much glee to see my interests intersect.
Alright, I am getting hungry, after all. Too hungry for more snacks. I need some real protein. And if I make eggs and bacon, I’ll have something to smother in Diablo and Fire sauce. AND I can fry up some buttered toast (discovered I prefer it that way to having it popped out of the toaster), and have a little jam with that.
Time for tunes and food. To the eggs, Batman!
And maybe tonight, I will write.
