… a la Practical Magic.
But have you heard of midnight meatballs?
I did, indeed, brown the meatballs. I think they’re cooked all the way through. Tomorrow, after work, I’ll add the pasta sauce, and stewed tomatoes, and dried Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, and fresh basil. As they simmer in alla that, they’ll cook some more. Should be fine.
So yes, I did, indeed, have it “in me” to whip up the meatballs in preparation for tomorrow’s Italian feast. Pre-made meatballs from a fridge or freezer case at the store, but meh, we’ll allow it.
Might put on my Pasta Night playlist while I make up everything else, tomorrow.
Well, technically, later today…
Also… having worn the hoodie a little longer (sleeve message in the photo), can CONFIRM it is, indeed, bigger on me. The sleeves hang way past my fingertips when I let them, and the pocket in front for my hands sits so low, I have to really reach to use it.
But it can stay.
Memories of laying it out on the bed, with the 100 Reasons to Stay Alive list on the back facing up, so I could read the list for myself, when I was really struggling.
I either nearly or actually did overdraft myself when I bought it. Had to borrow some last-minute money to cover the difference. Even when I admitted that, however, my therapist said it was still a worthy purchase, because it seemed to have helped me so much.
So, in case YOU also need to hear this from time to time:
You are needed.
You are not a burden.
You are loved.
So many wonderful, whimsical heart images on Pexels. But I’m going with one that also kind of echoes the vibe of the poem by Mary Oliver that I included in the preceding post.

“Sweet dreams ’til sunbeams find you. Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you.”
“Dream a Little Dream of Me”
Lyrics by Gus Kahn, Music by Wilbur Schwandt and Fabian Andre
