Woke up super early and can’t yet manage to fall back asleep. Decided I would follow up on the yellow posts, with another summer color– green! Everything is lush in the summer, just before the temperature cools, and the leaves start to turn.
I didn’t stick to just leafy-greens, but there are some of those in there, too.
This and the yellow collage might be a bit less “artsy” than some of my others. Fewer photos. Maybe not quite as intense or serious as other things I’ve made. But they’re fun.
I even found a photo of an INSTAX camera. Mine is more of a soft, pastel mint. But I like the color of theirs, too!
And a neon sign that I at first thought read “Mania.” Still kinda looks like it, to me.

While poking through Pexels, I started to hear bits of The Rolling Stones’ “She’s a Rainbow,” echoing through my memories.
Just skimmed through the lyrics. Looks like they mention blue, possibly white, and gold, but no yellow or green. So maybe we will save a lyrics quote for another post. The gold section would be really fun for a fall post, with some golden leaves!
There were autumns where I took lots of photos of fall foliage, and posted them for a former coworker and friend who moved to Florida and missed the change of seasons. It is a rather stunning time of year!
And one of my mom’s friends apparently couldn’t get enough of “Colorama,” which is what she called the roadside fall leaves on the way up to the peninsula. My mom does a very amusing impression of her friend pronouncing the word in reverent tones.
But looking online, I can’t verify that anyone really calls it that? Looks like Colorama refers to a lot of other things, including a board game, and an advertising campaign designed to show off color photography. Huh. But there’s a travel website for our state that offers a report on how fall colors are coming along, for anyone wanting to plan a trip.
And OF COURSE this year, the coming of fall will be EXTRA special, because kiddo comes in October!!! My nurse practitioner even asked if I had seen my daughter and was super thrilled for me about the visit. She remembered how much I love Halloween and thought it would be just perfect timing.
Well, the birds have ceased their sunrise song. Now, I just hear a bus pulling up to the corner. I suppose I could try to get more rest. Maybe turn the AC on for a bit.
Maybe some toast first. Getting hungry.
BAH once again, I found a meme about The Lost Boys, then belatedly decided long-distance bestie might find it funny. Went back looking for it again and can’t find it. Suppose I could recreate it with my meme generator app.
Not now, though. It can wait.
You would not believe how FANCY some of the toast pics on Pexels are. MAN! Peeps be putting my toast skills to shame! They look sooooo good, though. But here’s a simpler one that nonetheless made me smile.
Have a good day.
