Just a quick check-in and gratitude post. I”ve been draggin’ somewhat lately, so I’m not up to a long-winded self-examination. Didn’t even realize I hadn’t logged into Finch at ALL yesterday. Thought I just didn’t check back in before bed. And I woke up at 3 AM this morning, no CPAP mask on, unsure how I fell asleep.

BUT…

I recently received a gift card, SO, as a lil treat to myself, I got breakfast at Starbucks today. I had wanted to try their new Strato Fraps anyway. I got the Salted Caramel Mocha one. OMFG it was SO good!

Unpictured, I also had a turkey pesto sandwich, and, because I was trying to use up the whole gift card (and just because), a chocolate croissant. I tipped $2 too and still had some funds left on the card, to spare.

AND because today was payday… after sending phone bill money to kiddo this morning, and ordering her birthday gifts (Sleep Token merch), I got myself Noodles for dinner. Still had a free small entree from my bday discount. Only two days left on that. So it worked out well.

Saving the small entree for breakfast, along with the rest of my Mediterranean salad. I’ve gotten used to eating that salad without the dressing. There’s enough flavor just with the noodles, the chicken, and all the assorted veggies (and feta).

I went all out on dinner and also got potstickers and their new Bulgogi mac. But I hadn’t eaten since “breakfast,” which I had around 1 PM. Don’t remember if I grabbed even a protein bar before my Starbucks run. Maybe not?

Well, anyway, I am sure it was a lot of calories. And mac is carby. But I’m doin okay. Still losing weight. I just hope I’m not teetering on the brink of getting sick. Someone came down with something or other at work. I’ll have to stock back up on my vitamins. And maybe try to take er easy on burning the midnight oil.

The pic below doesn’t really have a WHOLE lot of relevance? I searched “night,” and it was one of the results. But I love its simple beauty. The sparks etc. Gorgeous shot. Also makes me think not of smoking but rather of lighters swaying in a crowd at a concert, even if these days, it’s more likely cell phone screens aglow.

Na-nites!
