We may have accidentally manifested nearly more restaurant food than we could handle, into being, yesterday. Kiddo had said unless we literally stopped at a restaurant 3 times every day, there was no way we could have hit literally every establishment I had initially suggested.
That comment followed a Walgreens run for nail glue she could take home, and some press-ons, AND a trip to Sushi Lover for All You Can Eat Sushi. I was lamenting opportunities lost. The churros cafe, the crepe restaurant, etc.
LITTLE DID WE KNOW what would happen later…
We decided to head further west, and check out Ulta, where I found some pretty rad Wednesday-licensed makeup. The liquid eyeliner is shaped like Wednesday’s cello, and it’s a gorgeous dark purple that looks black until the light hits it.

And Enid blushes, and a Wednesday contouring kit. So I will have to learn contouring LOL. Before we got it all home, I thought they were both eyeshadow palettes.
Kiddo picked out some polishes, too. We had a coupon, and the Wednesday stuff was half off.
Then we stopped at my parents’ house for a little bit, until I got hungry again, and suggested Noodles. She was thrilled! They don’t have Noodles in her state.
After Pad Thai and Pulled Pork BBQ Mac n Cheese, we checked out 5 Below, and hit the jackpot.
I found a phone case and Mag-Safe version of a Pop-Socket, for my new phone. Nightmare Before Christmas designs on both. Jack Skellington. She got more stuff for boyfriend, and we got a best friends keychain set where one is a cow and the other, a UFO with a tractor beam. She’s keeping the UFO, and I’ll have the cow. So we’ll always be connected.
While we were at 5 Below, my dad called to ask if we wanted to go out to eat.
At that point, we thought maybe we would just get dessert. But it took a minute to get her laundry together, and drive over there. And then we were waiting, because we got to the restaurant first (I took the highway), and they didn’t know we already had a table because my mom left her phone at home. She never saw my text.
SO, after all that time had passed, we found room for dinner.
I had a fancy “limonata” made in part with sparkling water. “Oooh, it sparkles,” I said. Kiddo replied, “This is the drink of a killer, Bella.”

Kiddo got a tiramisu to go, and my mom, my dad, and I split a Pumpkin Cookie Cheesecake slice.

Our server said the whipped cream was dying as she sprayed it, but she did her best.
It still tasted amazing.
After that, we returned home and watched the final Indiana Jones movie. It was a toss-up between that and the next episode of Chad Powers, but the movie was very good.
Today, we hit up kiddo’s favorite lunch/brunch spot, with my mom. She flies out this afternoon.
I made sure to stock her up on charging cables, so she can keep her phone “pumped up,” as my mom likes to say. Apparently two of their cords up and died on them, and they’d been sharing one between them (her and her boyfriend). I let her keep one of my spares, now that my phone uses a different kind of USB connection anyway (and I have the charging pad). And we got her a really long cord at 5 Below.
Bittersweet, having to once again say goodbye. But we’ll try to make the most of the time left.

(Something I saw at 5 Below and didn’t buy but nonetheless felt the need to document)
